Check in a student
Check-in consumes a reserved credit and is blocked until a waiver is signed.
Who can do this: Studio managers and front desk (any class). Instructors (taught classes only). General staff can check in any class but cannot book.
Steps
- Open the session roster (
/classes/{id}). - Use Check in on a booked row. Check-in consumes the held membership credit.
- If they have not signed some waiver, check-in is blocked. An older waiver version still allows check-in; the roster shows a notice to ask them to sign the updated text.
- Guests must sign a liability waiver before check-in (an older version still allows check-in).
- For a shared tablet, use Start kiosk check-in on the class page (
/classes/kiosk/{id}). The list is one row per client. Use Check in on the right, or Undo on a checked-in row. Credits, membership, waiver, and no-show rules are the same as desk check-in. Unsigned waivers show See the front desk. Colors match the public storefront when the studio has them. The kiosk clock matches the admin class page. Staff exit with the lock control and the studio staff PIN (set in App & Site settings; default 000000).
Gotchas
- Cancelled, checked-in, and no-show rows show no desk actions.
- Check-in looks at the signed person’s login and email, not only the roster row, so a desk-created booking still matches a later storefront account.
- Mark no-show sits in the ⋯ menu. No-show fees are set under Settings → Memberships → Policy.
