Create memberships and packs

Build the catalog students buy on the public studio. Price lives on the Stripe price.

Who can do this: Studio managers (edit packages, policy, and waivers). Front desk can sell at the desk but cannot edit the catalog.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Memberships (the Memberships sidebar item is the sales view; Edit memberships opens the catalog).
  2. Create a package: name, description, image, and public / featured / founding flags.
  3. Set price and package type (limited class count, unlimited, pack, private pack, and so on). Price, class count, and Stripe price or product ids stay on the Stripe price. To change those, archive the package and create a new one.
  4. Hide archived starts checked so old packages stay out of the public list until you show them.
  5. Share /s/{slug} Memberships, or on Clients → [client] → Membership use Send membership link or Add membership.

Desk vs online

  • Send membership link emails the student. It does not charge a card at the desk.
  • Add membership (when they have no active membership) charges the client’s saved card or a new card. The card is saved for renewals. If they already have a membership, use Upgrade plan instead.

Gotchas

  • Group memberships and class packs do not spend on private appointments. Privates use a separate private pack or single private credit.
  • A member with group credits or an unlimited plan does not go through drop-in Checkout for their own class seat.
