Create a class

Add a class type and publish a session students can book.

Who can do this: Studio managers (edit class schedule). Front desk and instructors cannot create the timetable.

Steps

  1. Open Classes (/classes) in the studio sidebar.
  2. Create a class type (name, default length, room if you use one, and price). A $0 price means students pay nothing and the seat does not spend a pack or membership credit.
  3. Schedule a session: start time, instructor, capacity. Times use the studio timezone (Settings → Company), not the visitor’s browser and not UTC.
  4. Optional: turn on Allow booking without a membership for a paid-looking class you still want to give away. A session can inherit that, allow it, or require a membership.
  5. Save. The public storefront Offerings list (/s/{slug}/classes) and staff Offerings show the current Sunday–Saturday week. Studio schedule (/schedule) is the same week as a day/hour grid.

Gotchas

  • Only about 28 days of a long weekly series are created at a time. Students cannot book three months out on a long series.
  • Instructors only see classes assigned to them on the Dashboard upcoming list.
  • Show number of people booked to clients (App & Site → Class booking) is on by default. Turn it off to hide booked/remaining/capacity numbers from students.
